Start this tour in Buskirk, Renselaer County. Journey through the oldest Covered Bridge of the four (151 years old), you will be in Washington County. The Washington County Department of Works and the Washington County Covered Bridge Advisory Committee finished the planning & rehabilitation of three of the Covered Bridges in 2007. Buskirk Covered Bridge - This bridge is a Howe truss built in 1857. It is a single span of 152 feet. The bridge connects Washington County 59 and Rensselaer County Road 103. It crosses the Hoosick River between the two counties.
Rexleigh Covered Bridge - c.1874 The Rexleigh Bridge is located just off of Route 22 in Salem. It crosses the Battenkill and is located on Rexleigh Road. This bridge was built in 1874 and is a Howe Truss with a span of 107 feet.
Shushan Covered Bridge - c. 1858 The Sushan Covered Bridge, once open to traffi c, now houses an old farm equipment museum. The 1858 Town Lattice style bridge is 160 feet long. The bridge and one room school house are open in the summer. The Georgi Museum and Park It boosts 9 acres of park-like setting along the Battenkill stream. Eagleville Covered Bridge - c. 1858 This bridge is located just off of Route 331 on Eagleville Road near the Vermont border. It crosses the Battenkill in Jackson, NY, right near Cambridge. It is 101 foot long. Town Lattice Truss Bridge single span
